our integrated washer dryer has just died and we desperately need a new one asap as have a 3 week old who keeps puking over everything! can anyone recommend a reliable brand and maybe even model? Our old one was a Hoover which basically started to die a month out of warrenty and has cost us an arm and a leg in repairs in the few years we've had it so keen not to make the same mistake again!

This thread is a little old now, but if you've landed here looking for recommendations, we've recently updated our best integrated washer dryer page with lots of great options, tried, tested and recommended by Mumsnet users. We hope it's helpful.

Integrated washer dryers are never that long lived. People make the mistake with condenser dryers of never washing out the condenser filter leading to the dryer not drying. I would buy a washer and separate condenser dryer .Don't buy either white knight or Beco

That's the condenser cassette not the fluff filter, it catches fluff and muck just like the fluff filter and need a clean every year minimum if used a lot. It cannot condense the steam to water when the cassette is full of krud

I'm looking to get one too as just moved in to a new house and I need a washer dryer, rather than just a washing machine.

How long are you planning on living in the property? Having spoke to a friend in the know, he said if it's for years go for Bosch if for a couple of years go for indesit or hotpoint.

Bosch seem to be highest rated. My old zanussi however lasted 12 years despite being on almost everyday !!

Tried 2. Both died just out of warranty.
DSiL had a miele though and loved it. Went for years. And I do mean years. 10-15. Probably more!
