Help with big gap between bath and wall tiles

I've had the gap between the walls tiles and the bath refilled with flexible twice (with bath full).

It's such a big gap that the flexible just pulls away from the tiles or the bath, leaving gaps which looks horrible.

I'm not changing the bath or tiles, is there a product I could buy and apply that suits such large cavities?

I've seen a couple of tape-like products and they get very negative reviews.

Yep, we had a similar problem with our shower that the previous owners had bodged. We got a product called sealux - it's a sort of l-shaped plastic trim, they do various types depending on if it's to go under tiles or over. Expensive but was the only thing that worked for us.

I'd recommend uPVC architrave. It's what you may have finishing around your uPVC doors/windows

Comes 1, 2, or 3 inches wide, about 6mm thick and costs £2 for 5m which is enough to do a bath twice!

I bodged a problem like this (well it was the leak that it caused rather than appearance) in a rented house (useless landlady - she wouldn't pay to get it done properly -even after the ceiling downstairs collapsed...)

Filled the gap with expanding foam (you buy cans from DIY places) and then put silicone sealant on the top.
Trick its to fill the bath full of water (and sitting on the side) when you do it - foam & sealant - otherwise the weight of water/person will make any bath move a bit and break the seal ...
I never liked that strip stuff - think it can look clumsy and never sticks that well
uPVC trim sounds like a good idea - but you need it to be sealed properly (at both sides) with silicone ...
Even if it isn't so bad you are getting damp patches on ceilings, water constantly getting onto wood (boards & joists) will cause it to rot and weaken eventually ...

Strip stuff = tape - not sealux - no experience of that...

we have had this problem this weekend with our shower leaking as the guy who fitted left about a 1cm gap between the shower tray and the tiles. We bought a strip of something called bath trim and sealed it with sealant top an bottom
