How long should you wait between having a wall plastered and then wall papering it?
TIA

is it an old wall that has been replastered, or a newly built house?

Hi PigletJohn it's an old wall replastered.

A month should do. To help it dry out, open the windows when you can (ventilation is better than heat) and don't drape wet washing. You will notice the windows mist up while it is drying. Use a room fan if you have one, the airflow will help.

To make it look decent until then, give it a couple of coats of Dulux Trade Supermatt emulsion, which is a non-vinyl paint, porous, and the plaster can dry out through it. This will also highlight to the eye any blemishes which you can fill or sand smooth. Wait for any chocolate-brown patches to dry to pale pink before painting.
