I would like a wooden shutter, mostly for noise reduction. It is a Georgian flat and others in the block have the original shutters. I am being advised to choose MDF for noise reduction, but would rather wood. This is not a plantation shutter. Does anyone have experience of either type? Will it reduce noise at all?
