Hi, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice on the dreaded Party Wall Act.
We're planning a rear extension and will be digging foundations 1.5 metres away from our neighbours side wall, so we've served them with a Party Wall Notice. They're being very cooperative but are understandably a bit nervous about us digging so close to them, so they're inclined to ask for a surveyor to do a party wall award, but have said they don't want to put us to too much expense.
I've done some reading and understand that you can do your own Schedule of Conditions which both parties sign. I think they might agree to this, but I've no idea how you'd go about putting one together beyond taking lots of pictures. Can anyone advise? Thanks,
