My husband and I have a food trailer and travel to events in Central Belt of Scotland, catering on a market in Edinburgh city centre twice a week and a weekend a month in Glasgow + events all over central belt (Loch Lomond, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife,Stirling etc) Can't afford to live in Edinburgh (too expensive and too crowded). Seen 2 houses that we like, and within budget, both at 125k. We have a 20 month old so good schools and activities for kids are important. Bathgate house (3 bed) within catchment of Boghall, and Bathgate Academy, Larbert one (2 bed but a lot of land) catchment for Larbert Village Primary and Larbert Highschool. Any input in these areas would be appreciated!!!

Hi can't comment on Larbert as I Don't really know anything about that area other than Falkirk town centre!
I live in Bathgate and really like it. Central for edinburgh and glasgow and also to go over the bridge into Fife for driving. Trains every 15 mins or so to Edinburgh and Glasgow too. Pretty much everything within walking distance.
Lots of activities on offer for toddlers too, plenty of playgroups and good library with Bookbug etc.
As far as houses go, it would depend where in Bathgate it was. Like all towns some areas are nicer than others. The catchment for Boghall primary covers a lot of area, some id be happy to live in, some not so much. Boghall itself is a little village almost with a few local shops, butcher, post office, chip shop etc. it's slightly out of Bathgate, connected but an extra walk into town.
Both Boghall primary and Bathgate academy have a reasonably good reputation and my DD will be going to the academy in a few years, she's only P2 just now!

House looks lovely. I know that street a little. We looked at a house on crosshill drive a few years ago. Seems a nice area, quiet, not sure how easily you'd get up and down that hill in the snow though!
