How would you fit these Tiles over the Bath Panel?

Hi,
Just having the bath fitted with a tiled bath
panel and have been asked which way I want
the tiles fitted. Vertical will match the floor and
horizontally fitted will match the walls.

Any ideas which way would be best visually?

How would you fit these Tiles over the Bath Panel?

I vote for horizontal.

Size wise, which gives the neater fit?
I hate seeing large tiles and then a sliver of one to fill/make up the space but I have no interior design clue whatsoever!

Thanks for the replies. Luckily neither of the options will leave a sliver
of tile.
I was leaning towards horizontal because of the rest of the walls
but the fitter prefers vertical to match the floor, hence why I
am confused!

Vertical to match the floor will be more pleasing to the eye.

Have you done a google images trawl of both ways and see what appeals to you most?

The bath panel should always match the wall not the floor. Or that's what I was told.

VeryLittleGravitasIndeed · 05/10/2014 20:45

I'd match it to the wall so it's the same look as the wall opposite the bath. I think it will jar if one side (wall) is horizontal and the other side (bath) is vertical.

Matching the wall.

Horizontal to match the wall.

Is the panel behind the toilet being tiled? If it is, going horizontal will follow the line of the floor on that wall. It will look well as you enter the room.

horizontal

PrimalLass · 06/10/2014 15:27

Wall

Wow, thank you for all the replies, Horizontal
it is then!
