Bedroom downstairs?

Not sure if I've posted this in the best place?

I rent a 3 bed cottage. Down stairs is a living room which you have to walk through from front door, then a kitchen and up one step off the kitchen a dining room/study. I am thinking of making the dining room into a fourth bedroom. Are there any problems with doing this?
Thanks!

What kind of problems are you thinking of?

Doesn't sound like you'd need to make any change other then take a table out and add a bed. Wouldn't be a prime position for a bedroom (noise etc from kitchen) but if needs must then you use the space as you see fit.

Can't imagine the landlord would care unless you're thinking of increasing the number of people living at the house (this would be an issue you'd need to address with them).

Not sure if it creates any legal problems with bedrooms off the kitchen? Noise isn't ideal but would be ok.
