High sleeper bed for a small room with a low ceiling – possible?

DD1 needs a desk, she's got a smallish narrow room with a built-in wardrobe at one end, at the other end is the window, which takes up the whole width of the room. At the moment, she has a single bed that runs under the window. But there's no obvious place for a desk so we're looking at high sleeper beds. Thing is all but the very fine-framed ones will block most of the light from the window, and there's the added problem that the ceiling is only 236cm high. How much room are you meant to leave between the bed height and the ceiling?

I like the look of this:

But it's 180cm so only half a metre between her and the ceiling, though I guess the mattress that she sits on will be a bit lower than 180cm.

Or there's this, which seems eye-wateringly expensive but would leave more gaps for light from the window (which would sit to the right of the bed IYSWIM)

And again, height is 184 (though admittedly, mattress seems to sit lower here)

Any thoughts anyone? Thanks v much

I think she needs to be able to sit up in bed, which I guess half a meter won't do. Also, changing the sheets will be a nightmare!

Would a mid sleeper work? Something like this?

It might be worth trying a company called Box Room Beds.com. We used them a few years ago when we bought a high rise bed for my daughter (she's now 15). She has the little box room in our house and needed a shorter than average bed in order for it to fit between walls - although it is a normal 3ft width. She has managed to fit a combi robe and chest of drawers under it to make the most of her space and has a computer desk on the other side to the room. Hope this helps.

Their is a type of bed called a mid Sleeper. DS has one he has a wardrobe and fixed desk under the bed and lots of storage space. The bedrooms sound very similar.

In fact this looks identical to the one we bought for DS only ours was from Argos or Suchlike.
