DD1 needs a desk, she's got a smallish narrow room with a built-in wardrobe at one end, at the other end is the window, which takes up the whole width of the room. At the moment, she has a single bed that runs under the window. But there's no obvious place for a desk so we're looking at high sleeper beds. Thing is all but the very fine-framed ones will block most of the light from the window, and there's the added problem that the ceiling is only 236cm high. How much room are you meant to leave between the bed height and the ceiling?
I like the look of this:

But it's 180cm so only half a metre between her and the ceiling, though I guess the mattress that she sits on will be a bit lower than 180cm.
Or there's this, which seems eye-wateringly expensive but would leave more gaps for light from the window (which would sit to the right of the bed IYSWIM)

And again, height is 184 (though admittedly, mattress seems to sit lower here)
Any thoughts anyone? Thanks v much
