Bed linen help really needed :(

So we need some more bed linen. We currently have high thread count Egyptian cotton which I love.

The big issue is dh - somehow he bleaches/discolours/wears out our bed linen both duvet covers, pillows and fitted sheets Confused

Would linen be longer lasting than cotton, what colours are least likely to discolour etc etc etc?

why not have easily replaced bottom sheet and top sheet ( ie non expensive ) and then have a lovely duvet and decorative pillows ?!

We each have a single duvet so that isn't an option, also I really like the feel of my high count covers, I've been converted - don't think I could go back!

I've got White Company high thread count Egyptian cotton that I buy in the sale.
It goes to the laundry & comes back super clean & crisp. I think you can only do this with pure white because it washes so hot that coloured fabric would fade. £5 for a super king size.

Hmm maybe I should try pure white although I will have to launder our own!!
