Best wall colour with light oak floorboards?

Well, I have decided not to laminate the new loft conversion floor because deep down I have always wanted wooden floorboards. So I bit the bullet earlier this week and have ordered some lovely blonde oak floorboards and it was less expensive than I had feared. Now I need to decide on wall colour. I am thinking off white, preferably not with too much yellow in it. I want the room to look as clean and uncluttered as possible. I have the F&B booklet (I know I know) and am thinking of dimity, pointing, tallow.
Anyone out there with a similar colour scheme? Any suggestions? Many thanks.

It depends on the light up there, tbh. You need to put the colours up there in tester patches and try it against samples of your floor and see how they look in all parts of the room - the bright areas, the shadowed corners, in daylight and by lamplight. Some might look great in 3 out 4 conditions but a bit iffy in the fourth. The only way to know is to get tester pots and try.

Looking at our (warmish) oak floorboards we have
Strong White, looks a bit greywhite. Not a strong colour.
Parmagrey, looks too blue & will need to be redone.
Cornforth white, gorgeous very pale grey
Blackened, perfect pale blue/white/steel.

I second the idea of getting testers though

Thanks everyone. I agree I need to get some sample pots and try colours out in situ. I don't want to go cream, or grey and am looking for the right white IYSWIM.

We have light oak floorboards in our new extension and I think it looks good with Dulux Timeless on the walls.

Wimborne White is a proper white but not too bright. I have it all on all my woodwork.
