For my own amusement- so feel free to ignore me-
If I tell you my hot water tank is white and holds 210l with a twin coil can you tell me what type of heating/ hot water system I have?
(I know, but I'm intrigued by how clever you can be!)

you have a pressurised water cylinder.

You probably have a gas or oil boiler, but also a secondary source of heat, possibly solar water panels, or a multifuel stove with water heating, or maybe a small heat pump, probably an air one, which stops working in frosty weather.

...and your incoming water pipe is probably blue plastic, in 32mm or 25mm size, so you probably live in a house built within the last 10 or 15 years.

Oh thankyou! You have made me smile with your cleverness! It is an LPG boiler (don't ask) and solar thermal panels. We had hoped for a triple coil with woodburner, solar thermal & air source hear pump but that didn't work out... Never would have apparently but stupid company said it would.
Decided against air source in the end...
I can continue to believe in your brilliancy!

But my house was built 18 years ago.
