Where would you fit these Kitchen Lights?

Hi,

We have bought a long track bar with spots for the
kitchen ceiling. The electrician has already fitted
the electrical point for this track, but looking at
it in the kitchen it seems to be in an odd place,
being off centre with the door and window.

Please see the drawing of the kitchen.

I have labelled X where the electrical point has been
positioned and with the long track bar.

Shall I ask him to move it ?
Would be grateful to hear another opinion as well.

he's positioned it central to the room ... you will most likely get shadows from a track light wherever you put it - so central is as good a place as any really

Mostly agree with oneplan, but do you have a run of wall units on the left hand wall? If so, you might consider having the spot lights halfway between the fronts of the wall units and the opposite wall.

Thank you for your replies.

Yes Sandthorn, we have tall wall units, so maybe this
would look best, in the middle between the wall
and wall units.
I will see what he says.
