1970s people stuck em on walls , I would think scraper . Never heard of them being put on floors. They were very warm to the touch but a bugger to get off walls as the glue was rubbery.

So all I can suggest is pair of leather gardening gloves on your hands and a lot of scraping .

So get cracking dont sit there on the computer , this is a mission order lol

They were quiet upmarket, you know as in wooden floors but stuck on walls, perhaps the person that stuck em on the floor was frightened of heights

Hysterical yes our living room is coated in them floor wise. Some just come off in your hand but 1970s glue must have been good ...

Minis went rusty after three years , We had 25% devaluation of our currency . we were told it would not affect the pound in our pocket .(it did )
They did however make some manic glue

If you didn't have cork tiles you lost friend's relationships even lol

No wars were caused by the glue but there were a lot of head up their bums snobs about who would die for cork tiles

Oooh I had cork floor tiles in my bedroom when I was a child. Bloody loved them, all soft and warm on my feet. No idea how you get rid of them but you've made me feel all nostalgic Smile

So now I just need to find something to melt the demon glue. ...

Bung hairdryer on them to soften the glue and then lever up

Don't worry about the fumes if you have a death wish , also have a bucket of water handy to bring you round after your trip lol

The previous owners of our house had put floor covering down in one of the bedrooms and had glued it in place over the whole floor - trendy French decorating.

We removed it by softening the glue using an iron. Let the iron heat up, and then iron the tile, putting newspaper between the iron and the tile. Hopefully, you can then life up the tile intact and with most of its glue.
