Victorian terraced house, recently moved in. Spotted mouse droppings under kitchen units and in cellar. Call rentokil, bait laid. Rentokil return twice over 6 week period. Bait untouched, no sign if mice anywhere. Rentokil man comes today. Goes to front of building to fix mesh over air brick. Mouse appears suddenly in sitting room!!! Rentokil man catches and kills it. But even he seems baffled!! What's going on??

Mouse was living in air brick cavity, rentokil man evicts him by boarding up his door (air brick) . mouse intended surfing the net on rightmove for a new mesh free air brick home. Mouse dies in murderous circumstances and comes back to haunt the people who made out the contract to kill

All his brothers and sisters out looking for him as of now lol

Paloma12 · 17/09/2014 16:50

Oh no really! Do you think that's what happened?

yes..they will be saying "Where's our Squeaky2? Grin

Paloma12 · 17/09/2014 16:54

No, seriously - what is an explanation??

RustyDalek · 17/09/2014 16:57

I think the first line of roneik's post is the explanation. Then it degenerates a little into fantasy....

Paloma12 · 17/09/2014 17:02

Oh really - so can they actually live in air bricks?

Olbas oil and mothballs or anything pungent will deter mice - much more effective than cats

roneik · 17/09/2014 19:02

Then it degenerates a little into fantasy....

Yes just trying to brighten up the post, I didn't go so far as to reveal the mouse, having being barred from doing a runner to the big world, and mortgaged to the hilt with large credit card debt, 6 meeces to pay child maintenance for , was also on the run from the bailiffs. Quiet relieved when the end came. I cant vouch for his little relatives though.

Common sense really had no alternative , one way street. So why the killer lol was suprised makes me wonder about his thinking abilities IQ even

Paloma12 · 17/09/2014 19:55

Hmmm. It was so weird, having seen not a single sign of them since we moved in bar old droppings, and then a random one in a random place the exact second the rentokil man comes. Is it too cynical to wonder whether he planted it????

OP posts:
Paloma12 · 17/09/2014 20:08

That was a joke, by the way - I know he didn't. Just don't know how to solve problem!

Might be field mice coming in for the winter. Put anything edible in containers maybe. Get some mouse traps .

Buy a cat or Jack Russell , you wont have mice for long.

Paloma12 · 17/09/2014 21:03

Surely no field mice in London? Thought just normal dirty house mice.

Roneik doesn't want you to know that you just eradicated the David Blaine of the mice world, who had been living in that air brick for 99 days, without touching food nor drink. Bait meant nothing to him, he'd trained himself to have no interest in bait.

Mystery Mouse indeed, RIP.

Sorry, so on a serious note (please!!) is the consensus that it was sheltering in the air brick and ran in when it was disturbed?

I think so, Paloma.

But, or And. Once, I was in the living room with two other people, I on one side of the room , they on the other.

Suddenly there was a mouse in the middle of the floor. Right in the middle. Playing dead. A field mouse. In my house in London.

Where did it come from?! We were amazed.

We still have no idea.

roneik · 18/09/2014 13:49

Paloma , all is revealed a buy to fret landlord in Kent had evicted him from his previous home because he was on benefits. So he got the bus and a train and took a shine to your pad as aromas of goodies were wafting from said premises. He just wanted a quick scoff of your food before he continued his journey. Instead of that he got murdered .
