Shower style - drencher or standard head on a hose?

It's that simple really.
Head would have adjustable spray options and be height adjustable as on a rail.
Is that really old fashioned?
Drencher is DDs choice?
Would both be OTT?

Well I think the latest one was in the last month or so but it's bound to come round again soon.
