Problems with new doors (today) but I've signed the bloody thing to say they're ok

Stupid me. Really stupid and feeling under pressure.,felt nagging feeling should check more.
Did cursory check of doors, felt heavy to open. Ignored voice in head.
Doors themselves ok, couple of minor things but nothing can't live with.
Had steel lintel fitted above, it's bowed, pressing on top of doors, not great.

Have cancelled cheque but any advice on how yo approach/what to do next?

Do not flame me please. I am feeling v fragile and not up to it. I'd rather not be made to feel worse than I do.

If only I could rewind time. I don't want wine, or food. That's not like me.

Bump was that the sound of the doors falling off? or the lintel imploding?

Not a great deal of advice to offer, but try not to get down about it. It's not the end of the world, and you're not stupid. Happens to people ALL the time.

These things are ALWAYS covered by some kind of guarantee. Email them or phone tomorrow and explain you noticed these faults after they left, and you need them fixed asap. Just because you signed a form doesn't mean they wont come and fix it. I'm sure it'll get sorted out quickly. Now, deep breaths, have a nice bath, relax and go to bed. It won't seem so bad in the morning. Thanks

Or have a brandy ,it will get sorted when you phone them, not all trades people are crooks the majority are honest folk

Thank you. Managed a cup of tea and a chocolate (!). Am now in bed reading The Help, and realising there are far worse things in life. Perspective!

Hurrah for chocolate and tea! Grin

Don't panic before you hear what they have to say. If they are professional they'll want it put right.

Surveyor came out today, it's going to be fixed! Thank you x
