We are building an extension on the kitchen and need to order the kitchen this week as this links to other decisions. I am planning grey or sage green painted cupboards and have my heart set on Bianca Carrara quartz worktops for the main kitchen and island, with a bit of wood on the dresser etc. I really like the look of the contrast between the cupboards and the pale tops and the kitchen can be quite dark in the afternoon. My husband has been dead against it from the start and wanted dark granite but has 'given in'. He still has reservations about it staining and looking too clinical though and I don't want to make a very expensive mistake. We're in an 1850s cottage but the kitchen is already in an extended part of the house so has quite high ceilings and there will be three big sash windows in the kitchen area. What do you think?? I need some help from someone with more style than me!
