where can I put the petrol from a container we use to refill our mower, the movers wont take the petrol but I want to take the container.

if you have a car you take the container in that - obviously make sure the lid is secure.

Good luck, you're nearly there!

You should not carry it in your car. Give it to a neighbor? We have a pickup for things like that.

specialsubject · 08/09/2014 10:07

of course you can carry a proper fuel can in your car! (i.e. a to-spec metal or plastic one)

(assuming you are in the UK, I don't know the rules elsewhere)

You have to carry the petrol home in in a container in your car when you buy it to use in the mower. It's no different.

If you don't want to transport the petrol could you not just top up the petrol tank of your car? (Assuming it's not diesel)
