Sold STC/Under Offer

We have been in the process of buying a house since May and it has changed yesterday from "Sold STC" to "under offer" on right move.
(I have to confess to viewing/fantasising about the house/interior on a daily basis )

Has anyone had this before? Our offer was conditional on the property coming off the market. I'm a bit nervous about this. Before I wade in at the deep end with the estate agents when they open, does anyone have any experience of this?

If you want to test this out, get a friend to phone up and ask for details of the house and can they view. That way, you can find out if its really off the market. When we were selling our house, and agreed to take it off the market, the estate agent was naughty and still tried to send people round, telling us no deal is a done deal until exchange of contract.
