Oh FFS how do I put a front seal back on to a tumble drier? Does anyone know?

So I got the spare part and it looks as though it's too small for the hole, but I know it isn't, you just have to stretch it while you put it in the hole.

Have been trying for 2 days now and I googled it and found a useless link which implies that it's totally easy - step 5 is the one I'm doing homeguides.sfgate.com/replace-dryer-front-seals-21332.html

I'm screaming at it because yes I know that's what you're supposed to do, but what if the bloody thing keeps coming out and you can't stretch it enough to fit it into the hole?

It's driving me crazy, does anyone have any hints? Is there a knack I'm missing?

Are you absolutely sure you've bought the right part?!

If so, is there someone who can help you, sometimes I find this sort of thing easier with 4 hands!

The espares website has videos for most parts of most house hold appliances
