Plumbing help needed

Have stupidly tried to fix a plumbing problem and have made it worse...am an idiot!!

Basically we had a kitchen tap that wouldn't turn off, plumber came on Thursday and fixed it, meant he had to turn water off.

Tried to use shower upstairs yesterday and there was no cold water - clearly connected to him turning water off on Thursday, plumber came back and said we had a blockage. I was at work so info has come second hand from girl on phone at plumbing company.

I assumed he meant we had an air blockage in pipes from water being turned off. Decided to try and sort it myself by turning all taps on starting at top of house which in theory should force all air out of the pipes.

Unfortunately, what I now have is no water coming out of any taps except the cold one in the kitchen. No cold water on top floor (just hot), no cold or hot water in middle floor and no hot water in kitchen. Pump in airing cupboard also seems to have stopped working hence no water to middle floor bathroom I guess.

Am a total fu*king idiot thinking I could sort this myself.

Any thoughts?? Plumber booked in for Tuesday but myself, DP and 3 DCs need to wash!!!
