Free standing sinks

We've just got the keys to our new house and found that the kitchen is in a worse condition than we thought, and is going to have to come out.

The floor is boarded over under the vinyl which is great, as we can just replace the vinyl with something stronger and nicer, there aren't many cabinets to remove and the worktop just lifts off pretty much.

We can't afford to have a new fitted ktichen - not yet anyway - and I have a free standing cooker and fridge and so on. Also have some random furniture that will do.

But we're stuck on the sink. I've been looking at stainless steel catering units (sinks on legs basically) and they look strong and useful but am not sure how practical they are in a domestic kitchen? We've no worktop to fit a sink into and no desire to furnish it with cheapo cabinets from B&Q, as we don't really need them even temporarily. So what do you do?

I think Ikea have stopped selling their free standing sink unfortunately.

Any ideas welcome Flowers
