Moving to Nottingham ... Help please!

Hi, I'm thinking of moving to Sherwood and wondered which areas are nice and which to avoid?! Also what the facilities are like, shops parks etc? Thank you!

Sherwood is lovely- lots of shops and restaurants + good bus service into the city centre.

Woodthorpe Park is to the East of Mansfield Road heading towards Woodthorpe (:roll). It's quite big has a playground, cafe, mini golf.

It's a nice area so estate agents tend to make it bigger than it is, imo the nicest bit is the centre- mostly 'victorian' terraces and a few period semis

There's a council estate around Edwards Lane- a mix of council and private owned- not the prettiest houses

Houses on the ring road that side of town get listed as Sherwood but it isn't that near really- these tend to be 30s semis

As you move West towards Hucknall Road that's more Basford- which is fine but not as nice as Sherwood- more terrace houses.
