Nice outdoor security lights

Want to put some security/ sensor lights outside. Has anyone come across any nice ones?

Look on garden trading. They have nice ones.

you can use any outdoor lamp you like, and have it turned on by a PIR (movement detector) or a photocell (dawn to dusk). Generally one separate controller has capacity to turn several lamps on at a time, if you wish.

For dusk-to-dawn, an energy-saving lamp will be most economical. For PIR, an LED will be better. Although more expensive to buy, it comes bright at once.

300W or 500W floodlights are available, but are expensive to run, and are so bright that they will enrage your neighbours. Try to get lights that shine downwards, not towards your neighbours.
