Kitchen tile panic - please help!

OK here's the thing.
Big north-facing kitchen, not a lot of natural light, but new lighting scheme makes up for this.
Island in Farrow and Ball Pelt. Other cabinetry in Skimming Stone. Walls Wevet. Worktop in Carrara marble-effect quartz. Limestone floor - yellow, apricot, grey tones.
Am only tiling the chimney breast alcove where the (black) range cooker is going. Had planned to have Welbeck Jellies tiles, so cream/charcoal.
My question is this: will the cream tiles with grey-tinged paintwork and work surfaces make both look grubby? Would I be better with white or pale grey?
Help help help - I have had to make so many decisions in the last few days that my brain has ceased to function.

Dont think metro tiles are on way out. they arent for super modern or for minimalist kitchens.

Those are beautiful kitchens, noddy. Love love the Victorian hotel pendant light!
I think I'm convinced that metro tiles are timeless - BUT will the lime green tip them over the edge into contemporary? As the builder pointed out, tiles aren't as easy to change as paintwork.
But I've pretty much decided to go with the lime bon bon, pending a final visit to Fired Earth on Tuesday to check out Cotignac in apple.

I think in a north facing kitchen will be lovely. It's not a fluorescent lime it's a true period citrine you see it in old houses national trust etc all the time. I think you will love every time you go in on a dull day. Haven't seen the apple. Also like old rose pale with grey and limestone Love doing kitchens so exciting!

I know this is an old thread, but I don't suppose you have any pictures of your finished kitchen you could post, do you? I am having trouble with my colour scheme and considering poaching yours wholesale!! Thank you for the inspiration!
