Have you had your bathroom tiled? How, and what did it cost?

My bathroom floor needs replacing, it's white tiles on their way out. I'd like to have a patchwork floor.

Would a tiler tile over the current tiles? Would I then find my whole bathroom needs retiling.... To go with the floor!

Or are there patchwork tiles that go with standard simple white tiled walls.

Tell me what you did with your bathroom tiles and floors!

It's such a small space, how much could it cost to update the floor?!

(And get a new bath panel ....a non standard size one..)

I would expect the old tiles to be taken up.
Also it is normal to move toilet and tile under it not around it.
The biggest thing that will effect the total cost is the new tiles you choose - measure the bathroom floor area and then when you choose the tiles you will know how many to buy and how much it they will cost.
Plus something for the grout.
Budget £300 for the tiler and hopefully you will get change - do get a fixed quote before the tiler starts the work.

Is it on a concrete floor?

Bathroom cleaners that remove lime scale also dissolve limestone and marble, it is the same thing.

Sorry I was thinking of another thread about limestone.

I started all over again! Matching new and old tiles is a bit of a problem and the old tiles will immediately look - old!
