Installing bathroom in rental property - keeping tenants happy

Hi,

Just looking for some advice here - I am due to install a bathroom into my rented property. I informed my tenants in February that I would be doing it to give them plenty warning.

They were meant to be on holiday but due to visa reasons, they are not going away now. The wife of the couple stays at home all day so it would affect her the most.

I expect the fitting to take 4-5 days but there will always be a toilet in situ. I have offered a 15% reduction in rent for that month. I suspect they will rent a hotel room for 1 or 2 nights but is there anything else I can do to help them?

Thanks in advance

I think you're being more than generous, I would be delighted if my LL did this. After all they'll get the benefit of the new bathroom.
