Because I really need some support.

Our house sale was supposed to be very straight forward... we had excellent cash buyers. Then after we accepted the offer it turned out they were selling a flat which was due to exchange that week (which is why they didn't mention it).

We then spent a few months finding a house we wanted. Then with two weeks before the desired completion date it turns out that all their cash is tied up in investments which have 24 day redemption clauses... and this cuts close to the end of their mortgage offer.

The people we are buying from have been quite patient, but it now turns out that the flat sale still hasn't happened and their mortgage offer has expired.

I am losing the will to live. If I have to hear one more lie from an estate agent I might just lose the plot altogether.

That sounds grim Eat. Why can't people just be honest? Buyers, vendors,agents all the lies they tell usually come to light and slow things down eventually anyway. Bloody pointless exercise if you ask me.

It's early days for us. Sign gone up today, added to Rightmove either this pm or Monday. I am not looking forwards to any of it. It's several years since we last bought/sold and it was horrific. I said never again until they change the way property is sold but hey ho here we are.

I have cosmically ordered a cash buyer who wants to be in quick so we will see how that goes

Good luck Sidsmissis I hope you have a better time than us! I think your spot on, all those lies just end up causing more harm than good. All this stressed has made me bring wine o'clock earlier and earlier - and also I am on an all chocolate diet. If this sale doesn't sort itself out soon I'll be the size of a house!

We sold stc mid June, quick sale, only us, our buyer and our seller in the chain... Still waiting to exchange

This is our second attempt at this, last seller pulled out at exchange crashing out chain, gave it a year to build courage to do it all again

Our seller is relocating and moved out today. I just can't get excited until exchange it's making what should be a dream move a horrific experience
