Can I/Should I/ how can I repair these? Presume best to repair them, but not sure how to go about it. Is there a specialist service? I have zero DIY skills!

A new white basin is not remotely expensive. Have a look in Plumbworld or somewhere.

If somebody has put a bathroom cabinet or shelf above your basin, take it away and fit a mirror instead. Women like to put bottles and jars in these cabinets, and when they fall out, they crack the basin.

Our new shower tray was chipped when we used a rubber sucker type basket for shampoos etc which failed to work...I found a chip filling product online which I used reasonably easily. I am not great at diy but it would have been exorbitant to replace the shower tray as built into stud work.

Many thanks. Indeed the plumber who installed my bathroom told me NOT to put a bathroom cabinet over the sink but did I listen???

The basin is the right size and shape to slightly overlap the bath but still let someone lie down without bashing their head. I guess I could find a suitable replacement...

If you've broken fixed sanitaryware damage/breakage is usually covered on your buildings insurance.
