Am I allowed to put a tumble dryer in my airing cupboard in the bathroom?

Or is it against building regs? I'm hoping someone is an electrician here and can help me! I was hoping to put a vented one in there as they are so small (a White Knight one) There is a window directly opposite airing cupboard so when it's on the hose could be stuck out the window...I guess that would mean door would be slightly open when it is switched on. Not ideal but we don't do loads of tumble drying but there is no where else to put it (apart from my bedroom and I'm not keen on that idea!)
There is a the year old glo worm boiler at the top of our airing cupboard and a great big empty space at the bottom which currently houses our ironing basket...

Check with building regs person at council.
I have a condenser one in a cupboard with fire resistant door (I think they are fr - a while ago now ) - anyway that passed building regs. A condenser one is fine

  • certainly a whole lot better than a 2 in 1 washer dryer.

If it's possible I would definitely get it all done by a qualified electrician. We've just had our whole checked and tested, wish it had thought of it then while he was in our house for a week!
