filter taps - do you rate yours?

Hi I'm sourcing a filter tap - cold only, no sparkling or boiling water! - and have seen Franke filterflow and Brita Dolce. I can see that the Brita is about a third of the price, but doesn't seem like only a third of the quality!

If you have either or indeed any other, or have been through the same decisions, can you give me your thoughts? And if you know whether the Brita has ceramic fittings inside? I think that they contribute to the longevity of the tap...

Brita tap..I rate it highly because it has served me well in my kitchen for 5 years. Good quality and good tasting water!!

Ah thanks CookieDoughKid! I'm guessing that Brita's tap prices are partly buying their way into the market and ensuring that they get some of the lucrative replacement filter money. The amazon reviews are mostly very positive.

Anuone else have any thoughts?

If you can, go to a store to see the tap, you'll be impressed!!

I had the Franke tap in my old kitchen. The main problem is the water is not that cold and we ended up with a Brita jug in the fridge. I didn't have another one in my current kitchen.

Pinkfizzy - did you go for Brita in the end? I need to make a decision about filter taps now!
