Classic and timeless or safe and dull?
DH says he doesn't like metro tiles they remind him of men's urinals apparently.
I thought maybe big plain rectangular with a ridge (tile dado type thing) with a painted top.

Love mosaics for the shower but put off by the cost.

I've spent hours on Pinterest and Houzz but those batht

Classic and timeless.

Don't seek 'interest' factor of your room from tiling! Add interest with accessories that you can change easily as you tire of them.

We had 250x500mm white tiles recently, everyone who goes up there complements the tiles

Thanks for the comments, it's what I wanted to hear Smile.
I imagine big tiles are easier to keep clean, any opinions on mat or shiny?

I had my bathroom completely refurbished last year, and went for white matt tiles - 250 x 400 mm from Topps, and gorgeous mosaics in a border. I love the matt finish, as it doesn't bounce reflections everywhere, and (I've been told) looks really classy. However, I'm old, so my taste might not be everyone's!

Personally I like shiny, for me it's more classic, sharper, more light reflective.

Strange to say, it's more 'natural'... Ie our teeth aren't matte, nor are our eyes, or hair... So I feel happier in a non matte tiled bathroom!
