Porch not going to last much longer!

I have a flat-roof porch that is slowly rotting away & I have no idea how to go about replacing it with something more attractive! It's enclosed so I have 2 front doors (open one door, step in and open other door) but I'm prepared to have an open timber porch if I can. Do I find a local builder or a carpenter or an architect? I've spoken to a couple of building firms but they are too busy putting in extensions to pop round! Any ideas?

Bumping this even though it's not the most interesting thread! Just want advice re: who does this type of work...

Builder I should think. Put an ad on 'rated people'. They're normally good.

We had a lovely wooden porch built by a local joinery manufacturing company. We approached them, described what we wanted, they did a sketch, made the components and put us in touch with a joiner who did the actual construction.

I would say to contact either a local joiner or a joinery manufacturer. Good luck!
