Can I fit this all on one wall or will it look odd?

We are doing the building regs drawings for our new kitchen extension at the mo and for drainage purposes I need to work out where stuff will go in the kitchen. It will be much easier and cheaper to get everything that needs drainage on the one wall that runs alongside the current drainage and manhole. I will have just over 4 metres of length so enough to fit about 7 base units (plus obviously wall units). I need to fit the dishwasher, sink, washing machine, oven and some cupboard/drawer space (probably 4-6 cupboards worth) on this one wall. Will it look odd? I am struggling to imagine it to be honest. The other wall is shorter and will have the fridge and some food cupboards, then there will be an island with a hob and some storage for pans and casserole dishes and all the crap that barely gets used Grin

Can this work?

As long as you can put a decent amount of worktop between the oven and sink, that should be fine. And have the oven reasonably near the island hob so you don't have to carry hot things far to put them in the oven if you've started them off on the hob. Makes sense to have the dishwasher next to the sink (under the draining board if you are having one) and the washing machine next to that.

Do you have a utility room or space for one? I really dislike washing machines actually in the kitchen because of the noise in a sociable space.

Well the issue is that we have to do our house in 2 stages. It is a bungalow and some of the bedrooms will be moved upstairs at which point we will have a utility room but until then either we put the washing machine/tumble dryer in the garage which means walking outside briefly through a side courtyard between kitchen and garage (not great in the rain or snow!) or we have them in the kitchen.

Yes I think workspace will be the biggest issue. Need to have a good think.
