Can I turn black white goods white?

We just moved house, the previous owners kindly left us a massive American style fridge freezer and dishwasher. Both are in great condition and perfect working order however they are black. I would like them so much more and I feel they would go so much better with the kitchen if they were white.

I know you can buy enamel paint but I'm worried that if I did just paint them the finish would be a bit rough and I would rather have a nice finish in a colour that wouldn't be my first choice than look shabby in white.

Is there any companies that will give them a proper respray? I've seen vinyl stickers for washing machines but they all tend to verge on the quirky side rather than just plain colours.

Has anyone successfully turned black white goods white?

No sell them and use the money to buy more. They will look terrible painted

Can you take the doors off? If so you could ask a garage if they would re spray them for you.

I agree with noddy.

They would look like an old ford cortina with rust bubbles and a homemade paint job - sell

As I suspected! We'll just keep them, I'm sure I'll learn to live with them as they are both brilliant, much better than our old ones, just not the colour I would have picked. We'd like to replace the kitchen eventually but it will be a few years of saving first. Will budget in to replace them then.

Thanks

Plenty of magnets and charming children's drawings and you won't be able to see the colour beneath!

Depending on where the dishwasher is, could you investigate replacing the door to integrate with the cabinets?
