Exterior paint colour help!

I have to make a final decision at the weekend. Painter starts on Tuesday.

My house is rendered, painted white, with oak double glazed windows and integral garage door. Window sills and window surrounds at the front of the house are a creamy gold.

This is the same as practically every other house, although some have gone for off white which has turned out yellow.

I would like the house painted in a shade of grey (that doesn't look like bare plaster) but I'm not convinced that a darker colour of grey on the window sills goes with the oak.

Please please can anyone advise what would work with my windows? I'm going blind with the googling and can't see anything like it, which must mean it would look awful.

Ok, on the window sill, from left to right, is Dead Salmon, Moles Breath, All White.

Underneath the sill on the wall, left to right, is All White, Blackened, Strong White, and James White.

What do you think of Blackened on the walls with Moles Breath on the window sills? That's the darker grey on the wall and the darkest grey on the window sill.

I think that would work well, but before going ahead suggest you paint some large pieces of card with 2 coats of the Moles Breath and Blackened and blu-tac them in place. then sort of blinker yourself so you aren't distracted by all the other colours.

Does that make sense?

That colour scheme works ok at the back of the house which is a lot more contemporary in design, but I want it to look good from the footpath too at the front iykwim.

Hi, that's a blast from the past! Thank you for the memory, I am still here but long since name changed.
I went with the Blackened on walls with Moles Breath on window sills and surrounds and changed the front door to gloss black (on painters advice). Looks / looked really smart and I'm still happy with that choice.
Much better than every other plain white painted house, but not radical enough that it looks odd in comparison to neighbours, and I wouldn't describe it as a dark colour.
