I've tried google but not found anything. My bricks are red and zigzagged. Any ideas how I can identify this?

Can you take a photo into a builders merchants? Also a good builder should be able to identify the type.

When I needed some bricks, I got lucky. There was a half-brick in the yard, and I took it into the brickyard. No problem getting a match.

if you can't find a spare brick, I guess you just have to take pictures and take them in to a brickyard or builders merchant. Maybe they have a catalogue, or something.

Try these people www.brickmerchant.co.uk/

They say "With a stock of over 3 million bricks to choose from and a vast UK stockists database to choose from, we are confident we'll have the right brick for you."

Look at the History of the London Brick Company. It talks about Fletton Rustics with a zig zag pattern being made from the 1920s. Could these be the bricks? You may find a similar colour from them now - not sure about the zig zags! The document was a history of the company and quite interesting. They made bricks for 5 million homes!
