Hi

I can't find an answer on this, (or rather many conflicting answers).

We've done a garage conversion & raised the floor (already was a concrete floor down). How long does it take the screed to dry before

a-walking on it (done on Thursday morning and feels dry)
b - putting laminate flooring down
c - putting things in it (i.e. we really need to store some things in there when we have visitors next week unless it will ruin everything somehow)

Any advice greatly appreciated

I think our builder said it takes 1day to dry 1 mm thickness before laying engineered oak floor on top - nog sure got laminate. We had a suspended timber floor instead of concrete as couldn't wait that long.

Thanks for the reply-Ooh suspended floor, that may be an option. Can't understand why they don't use something that dries quicker-surely it's possible, especially on an existing floor?

That's what I'd read re time but really don't want to wait for over 3 months before flooring! My normally over cautious workman brother says a month so may see what it looks like then.

....and throw some rugs down for a couple of weeks cos I'm too impatient....
