UPVC fence panels and posts

Has anyone has these put in and what do you think? Where did you get them from? How do you clean them? I am hoping they will be a good option as our fence need replacings but it is dark and damp down that side if the garden as there is lots of overhanging greenery and the wooden fence always ends up green at the moment! Thanks

I've never heard of these, but would they be strong enough? Plastic can go brittle. I think it would also be likely to go green as well. Id use a traditional fence, or concrete post fence.

Have you a link to them? Have you got UPVC windows?

if they are the thin lightweight ones, usually white, they are flimsy and soon crack.

You can get a reconstituted one, I think made of recycled plastic and usually brown, which are solid and can be sawn and screwed into like wood. I have seen them in use and they seem very sturdy and last well.

"Plastic" fences are not uncommon in this part of Canada (southern Ontario). A couple of my neighbours have these fences, and I've been keeping an eye on them... in the 10 years or so since the fences were erected, there has been no change in colour (one fence is white, the other buff). I can't say anything about stability problems, but they certainly appear to be okay.

I'd get a "plastic" fence in a minute. I don't know what the exact type of the plastic is, and I am sure Canadian and UK standards are different.

we have these (well our neighbours do) they are surprisingly strong, I'm not sure they would replace concrete ones in tems of strength and they aren't that pretty on the eye but if cost effective I would have them
