As part of kitchen renovations we've just had oak engineered flooring laid. Two days in & a whole corner has come unstuck & has lifted by about 1-1.5 inches off the floor. It looks like more edge areas are a bit springy too.
We removed a mixture of old ceramic & quarry tiles, some areas needed fresh concrete (several days previously) & then a layer of levelling latex was poured to prepare the floor (day before flooring). I can't get an explanation from the flooring company why this has happened.
They're coming back Saturday to lift & replace the problem area & reglue the edges that seem a bit springy. Is this good enough? I'm worried there are more problems ahead that will affect our kitchen due to be fitted next week.
Any advice really appreciated
