Hi
I am new to mumsnet and hope i am posting in the right place.
We have two little kids and we currently live central London. We are actively looking into getting a bigger place further out with easy commute to central London. We found a nice property in Gants Hill but though we like the house, we are not sure about the area ..
I would be grateful for any feedback on the schools, nurseries and general view on the area.
thanks!

Gants Hill is fine, I live locally. There are several good nurseries and preschools. Redbridge and Cranbrook primaries are nice. You have a decent choice of secondaries and there is always the option of sitting the 11+. Valentines Park is nice too, cafés, boating lake, kids play areas etc, etc.

It's not chic or happening but crime is low and there are plenty of shops and restaurants and the tube is fast into Liverpool St.

We moved out to North Ilford as we could afford a much bigger house. I've not regretted it. If you want to know more IM me.
