Hello. I need to paint the hall floorboards in my small 1930s terraced house. To sand them down would IMO result in too much 'wood effect' because the doors have already been stripped and they're lovely, and in any case, the floorboards aren't very good. The F&B matchpots I've used have improved the look. I intend to add a 'Persian' style runner - deep reds etc. The hall is dark and and the walls are F&B White Tie with paintwork and ceiling in Wimbourne White. The boards need to be dark (they still have the original dark paint as a border) as I have dogs so it's a choice between either F&B Mahogany (warm) or Tanners Brown (brown/black). Any suggestions? Thanks.
