Hi there, am after a bit of advice on where to move to in Leighton Buzzard. We are looking to move ASAP as need to commute to London by train. LB offers prices we can afford, however, I have read a lot of negative things about areas like Meadway or is it Meadow Way.We have seen a house we like on Richmond Road and again i have read on another website that this is another no go area. Am not sure how old that post was, but if anyone living in LB can share their views on where to go etc. We will be looking to get our 3 year old twin sons into school next year. Moving from Harpenden where schools are very good but house prices are out of our reach :(
We have already been to LB a few times and the town seems fine, nothing jumps out as negative.
Linslade we have seen it is a nice area but nothing in our price range has come up in the past month we have been looking. Budget of up to 210k. We like the older houses and as most new builds look to be very tiny and that wouldnt work with 3 boys.

Hi I have lived in Leighton Buzzard all my life you are right about Meadow Way avoid - The Planets Estate is ok - virtually anywhere in Linslade is good and also near train station. Richmond Road is ex council but really not that bad. Theres one just come on in Pegasus road ok area or large house in Lammas Walk which is near very near good schools and station but ex council but then you get a large house from the looks of it. Leighton Buzzard is ok have you thought of one more train stop as Bletchley may be better value for money or MK.

thanks Samsam123, that is really useful to hear from an LB resident. So we made a good decision then, there was one house that recently came up on Meadow Way and despite the tempting price we let it go.I agree Lammas Walk is very near good schools indeed, will check it out this week.
