Finally found a lovely house but my husband is dithering! Just wondered what you think.....

Difficult without seeing it I know but I'm just so excited. Needs updating which isn't a problem. DH is not sure about the two dormer bedrooms but with two others downstairs it doesn't bother me. Thoughts? Smile

We have dormas, Dh banged his head a couple times and now has no problems at all. I like it. We are wanting to move back to single story living, we'd have the downstairs bedroom and shove the kids upstairs.

Those bedrooms don't look like they have dormer windows though, just skylights. You get a full height ceiling from a dormer.

You could always get dormers added on to lose the sloping ceilings. Should be easy enough on a bungalow. We are converting the loft in our bungalow and a full length dormer didn't need planning permission.

Thanks for all the thoughts and your advice...love the rest of the house so much and the location that I feel sure the dormer rooms are a problem we can overcome. Booked second viewing for Friday!

Go back and have another look together, twice if you have to. The reason my husband didn't want to buy our new house is that he felt it's overlooked. For various reasons we did three viewings which confirmed it was the best place around for us.

He actually said it doesn't bother him at all now, in fact, he quite likes seeing the family coming and going outside if he's passing windows upstairs. Obviously this works both ways and to be honest we've never noticed them looking over.

Looks lovely & nice location as far as I can see from the map.

Is the cat included?
