British Gas Boiler Quote £5200, is this right?

We have a old back boiler and single radiators british gas quoted £5200 for removing the old boiler(tank etc).I'm having few other come in to give us a quote , realistically how much should I expect to spend for the work listed in the BG quote below?

You can generally rely on BG to give you a quote which is substantially higher than anyone else.

Get some recommendations from friends and neighbours of other local heating engineers; verify that they are gas-safe registered, and have a look at your friends' installations, then get some competitive quotes.

You can probably half the BG quote by going with a local company. A decent boiler fitted should be about £1500 with radiators I imagine nearer £3k.

That seems insanely high to me. We had completely new central heating fitted last May. We had a 30 year old boiler in the kitchen and a water tank in the bathroom and these were replaced by a Worcester boiler and eight new radiators. The pipework in the house was completely replaced as the old boiler ran on 8mm pipes and we needed bigger (think it was 12 or 16mm). We paid 3200 for everything.
