Spot or strip lightning? Warm or neutral white light? What else do I need to consider? Any brand recommendations will be gratefully received.

Oh, and are the shallow ones any good? That would probably be my choice so they don't show too much, but I'm not sure if they'll put out the same amount of light.

FWIW the kitchen designer I've now spoken to suggested mini spots with warm lights. Also said avoid plinth lights if you want to avoid the kitchen dating rapidly.

TheStorySoFar · 22/07/2014 12:49

Watching too...what are plinth lights (sorry for being dopey). TYIA

Pinkfizzy · 22/07/2014 17:59

They are inset into the plinth so foot level - I know someone who has them & regrets it.

burnishedsilver · 23/07/2014 00:04

They're already dated. Why anyone would want to highlight crumbs on the floor is beyond me.

AllBuggiedOut · 23/07/2014 00:11

Strips if you want to illuminate the work surface so you can see what you're doing. Spots are more for mood/decoration.

Hasnt your kitchen designer recommended any lighting or designed it into your plans?

If you are buying Sensio without a doubt is one of the better products.

Rosarosae · 24/07/2014 07:36

Thanks for the recommendation, will look into Sensio.
