how to get double sided tape adhesive off a carpet

Anyone know if it's possible to get the sticky gunk from double sided tape off a carpet please? Thanks

Try WD40, works wonders on chewing gum on carpet, worth a try

Try Sticky Stuff Remover. Nail varnish remover may also work.
