House buyers not turning up to viewing

Sorry, just needing to rant! This annoys me so much. Had someone who was supposed to be looking around the house at 6pm tonight. They didn't turn up. 7 month Ds was getting annoyed as he was so tired and needed to go to bed (think it's the heat). I spent ages today, when Ds was napping, sorting things in the house. I really could have done with a sit down (I am 4 months pregnant and feeling the exhaustion)!

Thanks, rant over. Feel better already :)

Oh no, how rude! I guess they may have tried to let the agents know, but only had an office number and the office was shut....

Still, at least it's tidy now

I remember that well

Had someone booked in for 11am.

They turned up at 3 and were incredibly rude when I didn't let them in. Said I clearly didn't know what it was like to get children ready in the morning Hmm

Annoying and rude!

Try selling a car too - the sheer amount of jokers who make you wait in then don't turn up.

name that is shocking. 4 hours late and they moaned!
I'm thinking that mumble but doesn't stop me being annoyed! I know. The house looks ace. It wasn't bad to begin with but I had a lot of washing to sort. Why does sorting washing seem to take so long?!

I once had the opposite, viewers showed up on a Sunday morning but the EA hadn't told us!

We were lounging about on the sofa, hungover, house was a tip Blush

They did wait outside whilst I hid all our crap under the duvet then looked round - didn't make an offer though Hmm

Love that comment, namechanger: "didn't know what it was like to get children ready in the morning". Clearly, neither did they!

Dec, I feel your pain, and I'd be bloody cross too, but reserve judgement before you decide where your rage should fall. Our friends were house hunting recently, and the agent gave them completely the wrong address, but tried to pass it off as their mistake. They showed up a couple of days later, full of apologies for messing the vendor around, and the vendor told them that they'd already heard the same story from the three other viewers the agent had misdirected.

wowfudge · 18/07/2014 08:56

Happened to us viewing - the EA told one of the vendors the wrong time. We knew we hadn't arranged the time he'd told her as we had five viewings in one day and it wouldn't have fitted in. When we finally viewed the vendor told us it wasn't the first time the EA had messed up.

Unfortunately it does happen. Colleague trying to sell has had a last minute switch to the next day by one viewer and one no show with no word.

I have called today and they can't get a reply from him but he did turn up at other viewings Confused
