Help!

MIL had a leak from her bathroom, which has gone down to the groundfloor. It has ruined one section of wallpaper, but left the rest in tact.

She doesnt want to re-paper the whole room, so it trying to track down a roll of the old stuff

Anyone know where we can look? Websearch turned up nothing, and we cant remember where it was from originally.

Hmm, think this is the perfect time for a freshen up then if you're having trouble finding the exact same paper. Is she insured? That'd pay for a whole room's re-papering I would have thought.

Persuade her to go for something a bit more contemporary.

Even if you find it, unless the room was decorated recently, the chances are you'll be able to see the new/old section. The paper on the wall will probably have faded so won't match exactly. I'd redecorate... Sorry!

Unless the wallpapering was done recently and you can find a roll of paper with the same batch number as that which was put on the wall originally then it's going to show.

Insurance claim or time to re-decorate at her own cost I'm afraid.

Really hard. I'd say to match perfectly she'd need the code from the label as even the 'same' design can differ in shades if its from a later batch.

How long as she had it done and was it extraordinarily expensive? I'd say same as pps, time for redecorating!

I think that you are going to struggle to match this as it's older than your MIL remembers. It was a Jeff Banks Ports of Call design I think. I papered a wall in my old house with it. Can't remember how long ago but I bought from Do It All before they merged with Focus.

I'd call the insurance.
